Internet Rant
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008Maybe it’s just me. I don’t know. All I know is that a particular type of search engine..doesn’t.
I keep getting messages..it can’t find the site…the site has expired…the site doesn’t exist! It does not seem to matter that I had just been using that particular site when BAM it’s gone and I’m looking at a poor excuse why it no longer is there. How can a site NOT exist when it had been getting used? I don’t know. I have found myself yelling at the monitor, calling it a liar, and worse. I know it is just a machine. It is not its fault. That doesn’t make it any less frustrating though.
I have no understanding of why this would happen. I have a firewall, and virus protection; so, my machine should be safe from those thugs that like to mess around with other people’s things. Programs only do what they are programed to do…I thought. Sometimes it makes me feel as if there is a bogeyman just waiting to surprise me with another useless unreasonable message. I almost wish that I could mess him up with Crisco in his hair or Vasoline on his monitor screen. That makes a pretty picture doesn’t it? 
I feel better now. My rant has ‘expired’ sort of, at least until the next time.
