Alarm Cat
Welcome back!
Don’t you just hate it when the power goes off and your alarm clock is doing nothing but blinking?
Well….I do not have that problem. What I do have is a 10 pound cat who likes to stomp up the length of my body and my husband’s body. I have only one thing to say - OUCH ! Each step is weight focused in one small area the size of a quarter. It started at a time that was convenient. at first. Now, it sometimes happens early in the morning. I am NOT a morning person. My husband will agree with that statement. He knows that I have a tendency to growl if awakened too early in the morning.
Alarm cat does not seem to realize this however. She has gotten our other cat to start doing the same thing. However the other cat (also called internet kitty from an earlier post) is much smaller. The stomping does not have the same effect. Thank God.
If you have never had a cat, it not generally obvious that kitties can be very opinionated. I am learning to say NO and push the heavy fur-person off of me. That helps me; but, then my husband has stompers that work on him. He is not as stubborn as I am. Now he is used to awakening earlier so this does not effect him the same way. Oh well, at least I don’t need to worry about broken alarm clocks anymore. Now, if I can only get ‘alarm cat’ to do this only after a certain time, I’ll have it made in the shade (maybe I should say morning, not shade). ![]()
