Summer Time

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Summer time, yes it is obvious. The heat where we live in Texas is incredible. Right now we are having the heat in the high 90′s to lower 100′s. My favorite temperature is around 65′ to 75′, so of course I am not a happy camper.

Of course that means that I go outside as little as possible. Add to that i am not a morning person. I have, in the past, worked the graveyard shift, and the evening shift. The morning shift was always a nightmare for me. Staying up late is no bother. Getting up early leaves me foggy all day. So, in the summertime, if possible I avoid the outdoors. I have found that popsicles are absolutely wonderful. If you’ve seen the ones that come in a plastic tube that you open at one end then squeeze out, you know the ones that I like the best. There is no dripping or messiness involved with eating one of those.

Ice cream is also good, but I still prefer those ice cold tubes of yumminess. :)

Computers

I have a table top computer and have been having a great time surfing the internet and blogging. I now have an anti-virus program to keep out nasty surprises designed to make things miserable.

The only thing that bugs me now is memory. I do a disk clean-up every so often, and that does happen to help. I wish that I knew which things I could eliminate from the computer memory storage, but as I have mentioned before, I am more analog than digitally inclined.

I have learned to do some things, but can’t seem to figure out others. I am not giving up, though. The way I figure it if I keep trying, sooner or later some understanding will seep into my mind and I will understand a little better.
