Service Industry

Service Industry. That is what some type of service to others is supposedly called.
Yeah right, from what I read that just ain’t so at one particular motel. If i had needed to stay there I would have called it the motel from hell.
It used to be that when you went onto a gas station (remember when they were called service stations?) someone came out and helped you to get gas into your car. They did more than that with the wipers, etc. Now, you get the pump which will change from station to station, and a ‘convenience’ store that is only convenient for spending money with no service at all. I am not even talking about gas prices here either.
Even when you go to a restaurant, the ’server’ isn’t always willing to serve. so much for the ’service industry’. The service is gone unless you welcome lip service, or someone lipping off.

I so know what you mean by the lack of service industry. Still, there are those who are willing to serve and do it well. Unfortunately, we tend to notice the bad service more than the good sometimes. We try to see the good in all of it but it was pretty hard to do with that motel thing.
