Tax Dollars at ‘Work’ ?

September 20th, 2008    Posted by: Tilly

Welcome back!

A woman took her father to the VA hospital. While there she tried to purchase a diet soda only to be told a different price compared to other times, poured it out and left.

This is where the story gets interesting. The officials at the facility used the video cameras to see where she went and with whom. They used her father’s private medical records to try and track her down. They are trying to bring FEDERAL charges on her over a soda.

How many laws on the privacy of medical records did they break?
Why such a hubbub over a diet soda? Why Federal charges? How is this serving the country, the veterans, or ANYBODY?

Can anyone spell harassment? or how about a waste of time and tax dollars?

Yes, that is a total waste of taxpayer money and time plus a waste of time for the US Attorney that has to prosecute this woman for her “offense” of not paying and leaving after dumping the soda. I agree. There are a load of laws THEY violated to get the info. When are those people going to be prosecuted? Never.
