Busybody
Saturday, October 25th, 2008Have you ever had a nosy neighbor that seems to think that every body else’s business happens to be theirs too? Well, where we live there are a couple like that. One is old and lonely, I can understand that. The other is way younger than I am, and almost the age to be a ‘gasp’ daughter to me.
She has a boyfriend that likes to go around and try to intimidate the other residents of the apartment complex when he thinks that someone might have insulted his girlfriend. What he doesn’t realize is that he is very close to being banned from the property and she is close to being asked to move. Lonely people sometimes do strange things. When they are not lonely, but happen to be busybodies, what do you do?
I am not so sure myself. Feeling like saying they should mind their own business does not make friends or influence enemies in the right manner. Meanwhile they get on other’s nerves and put her residency at risk. How do you say NOYB (none of your business) in a nice manner? I am stumped. Well, at least I can blow some steam in a safe manner and have a chance to think about it. What do you think? Be nice, please.
