We got rain

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Welcome back!

If you live in Central Texas, you know that the title of this article is WAY understated. We got rain, then more rain, then it down poured.

Some areas ended up getting flooded. Salado Texas had quite a problem, but Thank God, no one got hurt. The town is open again. The rain has gone down stream. I hope that it does not cause problems to who ever gets the water next.

It is said on the TV, if you do not like the weather, just wait and it will change. YUP

Here I am again

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

This sounds like another song doesn’t it? *snicker inserted here*

I am just being a smart alec. Or in other words I am being very elliptical in getting to the point of what I am writing. I have been reviewing some of what I’ve been writing and noticed a lot of gripes. Well, griped are OK in their own way and in their own time. People do need a way to blow off steam in one way or another.

So far, in our country you are allowed to gripe, grouch, groan, etc., or in other words to express your opinions. Since I can describe myself in 3 words - opinionated fat broad- being able to express my opinions is a plus. I am, after all, NOT a pressure cooker designed to hold pressure and not explode. It is nice to realize that many other people in the internet are also opinionated, too. :)

Got it figured

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

Yup, got it figured out.

Get all of the politicians to go on diets. (I also need to diet by the way. The name gives it away.) They should have the same resources that we have.

Think about it. They use the Medifast coupons that can be found. They no longer eat in the special dining chambers that are there in DC. If they eat the same foods that we eat, use the means available that we have, they might get a better perspective on real life.

I know that I am dreaming here. But, wouldn’t it be nice? Ah, it is so fun to dream. :)

Who Needs to Diet?

Monday, September 14th, 2009

After all of the hoopla that i’ve seen these past days. I realize parts of the country need to go on a diet. Guess who I am thinking of here. Try - FAT HEADS.

The FAT HEADS that I am thinking of are the congressmen and the senators in Washington, DC. They want the country to use the ‘new’ health care plan. They won’t use it of course, they have their own thing going with their own type of health care. Of course that is not available to the ordinary citizen. If very soon, they want a pay raise, I believe that we should deny them any pay at all. If you consider the state that the country is in at the moment, they have NOT earned any pay at all. I believe that they have abused the ordinary person in this country. They are supposed to be in office to help, not to hinder.

Yes, I am griping, who wouldn’t.

Is Anybody Listening?

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Ok, I have been reading. I have been watching.

There are so many people that do not want Obama-care that it is unreal. The news talks about the protesters. The politicians ignore those speaking out. People from other countries are making comments. The BBC website has a lot of comments.

What I do not hear is a reasonable way to fix things. Politicians in control of our health created Medicare and Medicaid. Politicians are the ones who have helped this country into having a hard time financially, not just the investors, banks, and stock brokers alone. Why would we want them in charge of our collective health? Remember, they have their own health-care system. They would not suffer.

Did you listen, or even hear?

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Well, Obama has had his say about health care. Were your questions answered? Or do you still have questions?

This is what I know:
People in Canada leave their country to come here to get good health care.
People in Great Britain leave their country to get good health care.

Why do they not stay in their own countries if their type of health care is so great?

It is because their health care systems are not as good as what we have here. Yes, it could stand some improvement. However, getting our political figures involved in the health care process definitely is not the answer. Just look at the operating costs of our government and then figure the same type of spending applied to your own health, or lack of health. The politicians will not be using what the regular people will be stuck with after all. They have their own health care programs and do not have to face the same type of paper work and hassles. Why is it so important to force something down the throats of Americans when they do NOT want the interference?

I wonder

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

I really do wonder about something. I had mentioned some trouble that i am having with one of our creditors. They decided to change the due date of the bill and then decided to add a late charge even though the bill was not yet due.

I wonder if there is such a thing as term life insurance concerning such problems. They have removed the illegal late charge, they supposedly have re-changed the due date (which they never should have changed to begin with). I wonder what they will try to do next. I wonder if they also removed any interest that came about as a result of their illegal ‘late’ charge?

If it sounds like I am still angry - I am. I do not like people playing games with my life, or with my husband’s life, or anything connected to us.

Still Mad

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Yes, I am still angry at that particular creditor. I have decided that I will not contact them until I can control my anger.

I wonder if the bookkeeper there is away on medical travel to learn how to make the correct entries to other peoples’ accounts?

Hmm, a good question. The person that I had first talked to tried to give the old buck passing a try. I refused to accept any excuse for adding a ‘late charge’ to an account that is not late and has NEVER been late. Oops, my anger is showing isn’t it?

I guess a ‘cooling off’ period might actually come in good right now. :\

Rip-off

Friday, September 4th, 2009

I am now boiling mad.

One of our creditors has decided to add a ‘late fee’ to one of our bills, when the payment is not yet due. I call that theft, or embezzling. The person I talked to tried to make an excuse. There is no excuse.

I am going to wait until my temper is cooled off before I talk to another buck passer at that company. If, when I talk to them again, the theft has not been corrected, I might even name the company responsible. How interesting…..NOT. \:{

Flat Tire

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

How about a simple subject.

A FLAT TIRE. GRRRRRRRR

Just when we need to go pay bills using our vehicle, a flat tire. Life happens to us one way or another. However, I am tired (please forgive the play on words here), of being left flat.

OK, I couldn’t resist that one. :)

Everyone has something in their life that will frustrate them at one point or another. Even the ‘little things’ can get your blood boiling if they come when you are tired. I realize that vehicles need maintenance. I sometimes wonder about the timing of these things. Coil wires ( 2 within one month), flat tires (again, 2 in a month), these are not bi9g things. They just keep you from going anywhere.

I want to save on gas usage, but REALLY.
