ER again

Well, we ended up making the visit to the ER again.
Mom was sitting in her walker, I was pushing her into her apartment. The walker collapsed! She went down and hit her head on the threshold. The 911 operator said not to move her and wait for the paramedics to take care of moving her. I do not think even outdoor cushions would have helped.
I do not think that I have ever been so scared before. I almost landed on top of her. I weigh too much to land on a lady that is in her late 70′s. She went to the ER, they did some tests and Xrays on her. They said that she would be okay and sent her home. There was one addition to that – we had to wake her up every 2 hours and make sure that she was okay.
Compared to what could have happened, that was very mild. She laughs about it now. I can’t yet laugh.
