Need a new phone

My husband and I have actually discovered, with all that has been going on, that we need a new phone.
O have no idea what we will get whether it will be an iphone, or something much cheaper, we NEED a different phone.
The on that we have right now has evidently been bounced too many times on the floor, or something. We talk to many people and too many times we hear – hello? hello? are you there? hello? All while we are trying to talk to the person on the other end. Hope we can find an inexpensive one.
