Conferencing

Friday, February 24th, 2012

Welcome back!

I remember when conferencing was done in person.

Does that give an idea just how old I am, or does it just make you think that i am not very digital? They now have something called ActConferencing.com video conferencing, where you can go online without ever leaving your office or home and take part in a conference.

I like people. Although the idea that the others would not have to smell my armpits, or that I would not have to smell theirs does seem to be very convenient.

Employment Needed

Monday, February 20th, 2012

I realize that jobs are getting hard to come by out in the world.

Here is a link to some jobs - costco jobs. I do not know what is involved, but realize that any help found can be a great help.

My husband has Social Security Disability for us to live on and it is not much. At least we have an income that comes in each month and we are able to survive (barely). If you are in need of employment, please check out the link above. I wish that you may be blessed with the job that you need.

Aw Come-on !

Monday, February 20th, 2012

Not too long ago, we had to call 911 for a neighbor.

The lack of intelligence of the dispatcher was not something that we expected.

The dispatcher kept asking what the apartment number was, over and over again. He had been told the house number sign repeatedly and apparently did not want to recognize that it was different from his own home town.

This town that we live in uses the alphabet to name some of its streets. This is the first town that I have lived in that does that. At least the ambulance driver who was listening understood and repeatedly told the dispatcher that he knew the address and had been there before.

All that I can do now is shake my head. At least one of the people that was being talked to, listened and understood what had been so plainly explained. Whew.

Senior Housing

Monday, February 20th, 2012

I would love to have an outdoor grill to cook some of our meals on.

We live in Senior housing and any grill that we have would have to be located more than 10 feet away from the building. It would make it a little harder to have the outdoor cooking going on, but it would be worth it.

It has been a while since we have had some truly outdoor cooking. The last time we had some, it was at church and it was soooooo goooooood. YUM I can still taste the wonderful taste. The only trouble is that some of the others living here would want to taste some, too. :)

Sack Kitty

Friday, February 17th, 2012

No, I am not talking about firing our cat. I really am talking about paper sacks.

Both of our cats love to climb into paper sacks that we leave on the floor, and make the sacks rattle. Of course, this is no accident. It looks strange to see the back end of a cat hanging out of a sack, while the sack itself is rattling and changing shape.

Who needs tranquilizers when you can be entertained by such a simple thing as a paper sack? :P

MEOW !

Hah !

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

Instead of all of those particular companies, maybe I should just buy stock in potty paper.

It seems to do the job (guess what job I am talking about right now). Of course I could go and get title loans Michigan style.

What am I talking about? I think that all of the coughing, sniffling, moaning and groaning that I have been doing is going to my head. There does not seem to be a lot of room up there right now. It is full of unwanted stuff that gets in the way of thinking, eating, sleeping….

Now you know why I am griping. Sorry about that.

Moan, cough, groan, sniffle

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012

Well, I think that I have it figured out a little.

I take out small business loans, buy some stock in the tissue industry, invest in allergy medicine.

At least that way I would be getting some of my money back. I guess all of the coughing and sniffling are coming from allergies. YUK

Now all that I need is a bigger garbage can to catch all of the used nasty tissues. Maybe I should buy some stock in the plastic bag industry to get back some of my money from garbage bags? Does that sound weird? Maybe…that’s me. :)

Still Coughing

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

I am so tired of coughing. My sides are not happy. My nose is not happy. My cat runs from me when I cough.

If I could run from the cough, I would also.

I’m sorry, I sound grumpy. Win some, lose some.

I guess that grump it is for now. :/

Sunday, February 5th, 2012

As I type this into my site, I am trying to stay awake.

If you see typos, please forgive me, my fingers are on auto pilot. Is there such a thing? I dunno. Haven’t had much happening lately, so have not had much to wriote about.

Hopefully later there will be something that makes sense. Not sure that this does right now. Laters people.:)
