Rip-off

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Welcome back!

I am now boiling mad.

One of our creditors has decided to add a ‘late fee’ to one of our bills, when the payment is not yet due. I call that theft, or embezzling. The person I talked to tried to make an excuse. There is no excuse.

I am going to wait until my temper is cooled off before I talk to another buck passer at that company. If, when I talk to them again, the theft has not been corrected, I might even name the company responsible. How interesting…..NOT. \:{

Complaints about spam

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Remember when I had complained about some of the spam getting in my e-mail?

I looked up the site for the FCC - http://www.fcc.gov/ - I found it.

They even have an e-mail address for obscene material. fccinfo@fcc.gov

It is unbelievable just what trash will end up in your box when you never asked for it in the first place. I would dearly enjoy finding a way to shut down those sites. Some of what gets sent out is stupid, some is down right obscene and gets me riled.

I wonder what makes them think that I want their trash? Yes, I am ranting. Sometimes, blowing steam can help get rid of pressure.

Junk Mail

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

I have probably mentioned this before, but I do not really like junk mail. Wspecially when it hits my in-box on the computer.

I have unsubscribed from so many sites, it has made no difference. It seems like the junk-e-mail just keeps on coming. YUK YUK YUK !!!!

I wish that I knew more about computers so that I could give them some crud in return. I am very tired of finding information about sexual organs and pills concerning those items. I do not want to date others, I am married and happy about it.

I am complaining. Definitely complaining. At least I am able to blow some steam somewhere.

Time to Rant again

Friday, May 8th, 2009

Yes, for me it is time to rant again.

I went to the doctor with a friend today. What i saw makes me shamed for the so called doctor involved. He came into the exam room with an attitude and a showing of contempt for the woman he was supposed to be treating. I could hardly believe his attitude.

He refused to answer any questions that she had concerning her treatment and the tests that he had ordered done on her own body. She asked him over and over again to please explain the results of some of the tests that he had done. Over and over again he refused to explain what the results meant. His contempt for her was very plainly showing.

He was supposed to be a professional and yet he acted as if she had to right to ask any question. When confronted by some of his lies, he suddenly shouted at her that he didn’t want to be her doctor and that he quit, he stomped out of the room without ever explaining anything that he’d had done or why. I thought that I was watching the behavior of a 5 year boy, not a doctor.

What he didn’t know was that the conversation was recorded on tape. He forgot that she had brought a witness, too. It was unbelievably bad behavior.

No Food?

Friday, April 24th, 2009

i just read a blog that makes me angry.

A principal at a high school is playing God with some student’s lives. The school get money for a lunch programs for needy students. The principal decided for her own reasons to deny them the lunch that was already paid for by tax payers.

At least one parent protested this thievery by the principal. My Single Mom Life is the name of the blog that contains the article. Her son is now getting the food that was already paid for by the tax payers. I wonder about the other students that were stolen from. It is upsetting.

This is not what I call education.

Going to Court ?

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

Well, I went to court today. I was not the defendant in this case. Boy did I learn some things though.

Getting an attorney that knows what he is doing helps. That is not all however. This attorney filed for ‘discovery’ which should have led to the district attorney’s office showing everything that it had as evidence. It did not lead to the uncovering of all of the evidence. Some of the photographic evidence ‘got run over by a car’ of all things. Of course those police officers did not try to replace it. They did not even question all of the witnesses that were present, only certain people, not everyone.

When the defense attorney objected to the last minute addition of ‘evidence’, the judge let it happen and over ruled the defense attorney. Innocent until proven guilty definitely did not apply in this case. The defendant had already been in jail for 11 months before any trial. Our judicial system and system of law and order - isn’t in order at all.

Later the district attorney got up and twisted the testimony of the people involved and when the defense attorney protested, the judge over ruled him again. I did not see justice happen in this case. It really bothers me A LOT.

Students Abused

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

I am afraid that I am upset. That is a mild way to describe how I feel.

A student was talking in class, so the teacher took off her high heel shoe and threw it at the student. The student ended up with a couple of teeth knocked loose, black eyes, split lip, and bruises. The parents saw the damage to their child and took her to the emergency room, the school did nothing. The oh so brave teacher ended up on paid administrative leave. A paid vacation for assault and battery of a minor child. How nice. That is sarcasm folks.

On a bus a student was throwing cookie crumbs. The bus driver stopped the bus demanded to know who was doing that, and when the other kids refused to rat out the mis-behaving student, the bus driver grabbed a girl from the front of the bus and threatened to cut off her hand if someone didn’t tell who threw the crumbs. The bus driver also ended up with paid administrative leave for terrorizing a child and threatening to cripple her. Another paid vacation for criminal behavior.

Tell me, what ever became of punishing the law breaker? These two school employees should be locked up in jail awaiting trial. If these were my kids, charges would be pressed and a law suit started against the school systems involved. This is so wrong. Hurting kids for TALKING, terrorizing and threatening permanent damage over COOKIE CRUMBS? Please tell me that you realize that this is messed up. :{

Smoking, or Not Smoking

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Many buildings these days are now marked as no smoking areas. Public buildings, private buildings. I have heard that there are even times that people want to make private homes no smoking areas. What ever happened to people having the right to choose?

I am not a smoker, but some of these laws bother me a lot. If a business wants to mark itself as a place where smokers are welcome, why can they not put up signs like that? Why do lawmakers want to define how private citizens live? Why do lawmakers feel they have to interfere in how private businesses are run? When has Big Brother ( George Orwell’s version) taken over private life? If people have the desire to pollute their own lungs, that is their choice. When the law makers interfere in private lives, they go too far.

Protection?

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Just read another article about those in public service (I should have written public ’service’ instead) abusing those they are supposed to help. When there is a loving family for children to be in, why are the children being forced to be in foster care? Is it not abuse to deny children the love of a family? To me that is abuse. Unnecessary abuse when the kids are obviously loved and wanted. What is with the different agencies that lie to families, to children, and break them apart unnecessarily?

I know of other cases where innocent people were harassed, lied to, had money stolen from them, and were persecuted by the people in a supposed “protective” service agency. Why have so many agencies gotten power hungry. What ever happened to serving the public interests instead of persecuting them?

Tax Dollars at ‘Work’ ?

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

A woman took her father to the VA hospital. While there she tried to purchase a diet soda only to be told a different price compared to other times, poured it out and left.

This is where the story gets interesting. The officials at the facility used the video cameras to see where she went and with whom. They used her father’s private medical records to try and track her down. They are trying to bring FEDERAL charges on her over a soda.

How many laws on the privacy of medical records did they break?
Why such a hubbub over a diet soda? Why Federal charges? How is this serving the country, the veterans, or ANYBODY?

Can anyone spell harassment? or how about a waste of time and tax dollars?
