Up and Coming

Monday, December 6th, 2010

Welcome back!

Up and coming, is the one holiday that people use to avoid dieting. Of course it has contributed to many people going on a diet.

Christmas is coming, and soon the quickest way to shop ill involve the internet. Mail order will not get things to you quickly enough, phones will help, but the internet is very fast.

Some will set up a new web site, or use what they already have. Some will get aid from managed hosting. Since I am not technically advanced, I have no idea what that involves.

I am still evolving here. :P

Send a picture

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

I tried to send a picture to my e-mail address the other day, and my phone said that the format was corrupt.

HUNH? What corrupt? I had sent pictures before to save on my computer, but now it won’t cooperate. I guess that this phone is getting older and finally losing some of its punch. I guess that I have to start looking at cell phones to replace it.

I do not look forward to doing that. The phone that I use helps me to go on the internet. The program that is in the omputer uses that particular phone to make the connection.

BOTHER. (I guess that is putting it mildly.) :(

TV Time

Friday, November 12th, 2010

Yes, it is getting to TV time again.

Everywhere that I look, I see sports on TV. People are wearing nba shirts, talking about their favorite sports, getting snacks for eating in front of the TV.

I just wish that I could see all of my favorite shows in spite of all the sports that will be on TV. I am afraid to say it, but i am not a fan of sports on TV.

To some I guess that would be blasphemy. To me, it means get out the videos that I have packed. :)

Still going nuts

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

This computer is driving me nuts.

It keeps disconnecting me when I am in the middle of doing something. It might only take a minute and then zap - gone, blotto. The screen is dark and refuses to be adjusted for a brighter screen. If I am not careful, I will have to invest in some welch allyn equipment to help me with my eyesight.

Just today alone ( I have only been on the internet for 30 minutes) this computer has disconnected me 6 times. Most of it just between the last 8 minutes. I guess that I will have to type faster.

Computers, humph

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

I wonder…what do factories do when their computers go bonkers?

Industrial computers is what I mean. Are they specially set up so that they do not disconnect except for when they are ordered to? What type of programs do they have that keeps them from crashing? How are they any better than the ordinary type of computer that the rest of us use?

I guess that I have a lot of questions. Now if only I had the answers that I need.

Feel odd

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

How else can I say it?

I feel like the 5th wheel on a regular car. If I get a 5th wheel warranty that still won’t fix it.

My stupid computer keeps disconnecting me even in the middle of something. If I didn’t need it, I would be tempeted to use a sledge hammer to ‘fix’ it. I realize that that wouldn’t do anything but help me work out some of the anger I feel from frustration. I get tired of having to reconnect 3 to 4 times each time that i try to blog, or search for something.

I still feel like computers were designed by mad scientists to drive normal people crazy. (*&#@)(#!^&@)(&%&^%&*%^ I think that says it all.

Surveys

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

I like to take surveys.

What frustrates me is when I am told that too many with my type of qualities have already taken this particular survey.

I wonder if the survey companies have ever thought that with so many people of my type, maybe they should find out just what we are thinking. If there are so many of my type, I guess that we might actually count for something.

Driving me daisy….crazy

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

My computer is driving me CRAZY. *^%$^%$#()(_&%$#

If IT thinks a link is taking too long, it puts up a message that it timed out. Yeah, RIGHT…I don’t think so. IF I am working on something and it hasn’t had computer messages going back and forth, say I am typing something…it disconnects me from the internet.

Who designed this crazy stupid junk? I would dearly like to give that person some of my point of view when I get disconnected, interrupted, and in general driven crazy. I was e (*&%$) it did it again! I am beginning to HATE computer and their supposed logic boards. There is no logic to something deciding - 0n its own - to disconnect when it hasn’t been asked to.

Did you know…..

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

There are a lot of different types of check out registers that can be used at a business? There bar code scanners, POS systems, and other things.

Some of these systems will automatically keep track of what is being sold, and will tell you when something needs to be restocked, and then there are other……..

In other words, blah, blah, blah into infinity. I never knew there were so many different ways that people could spend money and the retailer can keep track of what is being sold and when it should be re-ordered.

I was told, growing up that computers would help to make things easier and simpler.

DUH, I don’t think so.~~~~~~~~ That is paperwork, friends. Computers have made paperwork even more essential. :)

Do Not Call

Monday, June 21st, 2010

I have been on the Do Not Call list for years.

That however, does not stop bothersome people from calling. There is something that you can do about it. I made a link in the sentence at the beginning of this blog, where the words ‘Do Not Call list’ are put. If you click on it, it will take you to the official site to take care of such things.
