Babies

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Welcome back!

When I was younger, I used to dream about having babies. I would think of all the baby keepsakes, clothes (some of them are real cute), pictures.

Of course since then I have grown up and realize that sometimes things do not happen the way that we would think they should.

I do have a loving husband. We have a place to sleep, food to eat, pets that love us, transportation. We are doing okay so far.

Dreams

Friday, February 25th, 2011

I have dreams.

I know that we all do. I dream of going to luxury New York City hotels, sitting on my rump, and getting room service.

It is not that I want to be lazy….It is just the idea that someone else would do the dishes, have to clean up, have to do the laundry.

Ohhhhh…aren’t dreams fine?

Blackheads

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

There ar redheads, blond heads, brown heads, bald heads. I happen to love someone who has a bald head. I think that he is adorable.

Now back to what I started to talk about. Black heads, not the ones with black hair, but the ones with the troublesome task of blackhead removal.

When growing up, I used tweezers, fingernails, and other things. Some of those things did not smell so good. At least these days there are alternatives to what I used to do.

Spring is on its way

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

Yup, spring is truly on its way. Of course it could be said that spring is always on the way, I just did not specify which year it is coming.

There are people already thinking about summer and the best tanning lotions. There are people thinking about the next up and coming winter and what will be needed. I guess the only difference is that each person will be thinking about their own plans each time. Some think way ahead, others only think about the next day.

I haven’t figured out which one I am yet. After all I am only….. years old.

Nope - ain’t tellin’. :P

Electronics

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

What do you get for the man who has a lot of electronics?

I dunno, you might try Ipod accessories, unless he already has those.

I sure would not send him any junk mail.

I digress. I am still upset about junk mail. Electronics have a lot of uses. Right now, my television is going and my husband is watching it. I am typing on my computer, and letting my mind wander.

I am not lost, just……I dunno.

It’s Out

Saturday, February 12th, 2011

Yes, it is out.

What is out?

Why the jeux xbox is out.

I have no idea what an XBOX is since any games that I play are already put into my computer, or I just visit a site that has the game that I want to play.

I have heard a lot about XBOXes, and still have not seen one, played with one, or bought one. What do you do with one anyway?

Acronyms

Saturday, January 29th, 2011

Do you know what that word means?

When the people of this country talk about the CIA, they are using an acronym. That is something that we see everyday. NSA, FBI, USA, CBS, NBC, ABC, BCBS of NC are all examples of acronyms. We use them every day and don’t seem to think about them.

The last one mentioned is for a health plan company. As for the others, one is a television show, some are for broadcast stations, some are for government agencies.

Of course the one that is easiest for me to remember is USA! I am proud to be an American. Our country ain’t perfect, but I love it anyway.

We have a BABY

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

Not my husband and myself, but a couple in our church. He is the cutest baby and the other young person in our church likes to watch him.

I went into the store and checked out what there is for babies to wear. I never realize before just how varied the choice of baby clothes is. I wish that they had some of this stuff for adults to wear, too.

I don’t mean the ruffles and lace, that ain’t my thing. However, some of the other stuff is really great. Yes, I like Winnie the Pooh, especially Tigger. How about the road runner, and others? :)

I’ve noticed

Saturday, January 8th, 2011

I have noticed that when my brother-in-law does his videos, he uses a green screen. How many people have a green study in their home strictly for making videos?

His have been pretty cool. Tinfoil Chef.com has a lot of those videos on it. Sometimes he writes about politics, sometimes he writes about his fight to lose weight. He is doing pretty good so far. A sense of humor, some intelligence, and a good imagination can work wonders. When it comes to handicrafts, I can have imagination. Electronics seem to bumfuzzle me sometimes.

BUMFUZZLE - made up word meaning that I am still more analog than digital, and I get confused.

Let it snow, let it snow……

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

I guess that the weather man has begun a new song.

Do you remember the song ‘Let It Snow’? It is apparently doing just that across many southern states that are not used to the big freeze that can come with wet, squishy, melting, frozen stuff. I have a feeling the word overshoes has gotten new meaning.

Here is Texas, snow is a rare critter. We have sometimes had ice, but no big snows. Where I grew up in St. Louis, Mo., we even had special snow routes laid out and mapped so that people going to work knew which roads could be traveled. Sometimes I do miss snow, but I do not miss going to school in the snow.
