Wall Street or Congress?

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Welcome back!

On the news I hear about those who are protesting the economy.

Why are they blaming Wall Street? Wall Street are not the ones that make the laws that govern the country.

If they truly want the economy to improve, protest at Congress. If Congress really wanted to make things better…..

THEY COULD CUT THEIR OWN PAY TO SAVE US MONEY.

They have a special fund for their medical costs, they have special money even when they are no longer in office. We do not have such things. We are stuck with Medicare and Social Security. Why should Congress get special money and privileges for messing up the country?

Yet, the one thing that Congress NEVER does is take a pay cut.

Unhappy holiday

Monday, October 31st, 2011

For tonight only, many predators will be locked up in rooms to keep kids safe.

The rest of the year, kids are only protected by vigilant parents and friends.

I wish that this wasn’t so. I wish that kids could be kids without the worry of inappropriate things happening.

Inspection Again, Again, Again

Monday, August 15th, 2011

Yes, we have a date with another inspection of our apartment.

I have only had to deal with Mom’s illnesses, death, our illnesses, our pain, and other hassles that have gone on. I wish that these people would just leave us ALONE.

In other words, I am NOT a happy camper. :{

Griping Again

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

I have seen another commercial again that disturbs me.

This one shows some kids playing and using a cell phone to film it. ‘Dad’ comes in and says it is not being used correctly. He then proceeds to try to knock off the head of his young daughter with the ping-pong ball. If it had hit, it would hurt, I know from personal experience.

He brags that, that is 3D, and tries to act as if he had done something great.

Talk about abuse. This ad abuses my sense of family, proper treatment, everything is wrong with it. Yes, I am griping. There is enough wrong with the world today without adding to it with abusive family acts being advertised.

Invisible Hydrant

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

I thought that all across our nation, it was not approved to park within 15 feet of any water hydrant.

It seems that in our neighborhood, the locals do not consider it reasonable to leave the hydrant free of parking cars, trucks, and vans. I had thought that people had learned not to park there when the American Legion building caught fire and the fire department threatened to move a car out of the way by using the fire truck.

Evidently not.

Gonna Need

Friday, May 13th, 2011

I have a feeling that I am gonna need someone like a Brooklyn Accident Attorney, or even a good defense attorney.

My brother-in-law, who shall remain outside of my home and other places has decided that he is going to be a pain in the assets. Just for my thought alone, I might need that attorney. Let me just say that they are not to be made out loud.

Mom’s bills have been something that I have had to take care or for a while now (make that months), since she kept forgetting them. I would come over to her apartment, make out the checks, sign, and then mail them to make sure the bills were paid.

Because of her going into the hospice, the thought that her account might get frozen at the time of her death, I got out a big portion of what she had in there. I left enough to take care of the bills that would come out by automatic draft. I have paid out quite a lot of that money for her bills and I thank God that I have receipts for them. Dearest brother-in-law all of a sudden decided that he wants to keep track of her money and did not even ask why this was done and jumped to bad ideas. The money that has not been spent on her needs, bills, and expenses will be put back in tomorrow. Let him take care of her checking account and her bills, NOW.

I am very glad to let him have the hassle, and to wash my hands of him and other things. We will still try to keep contact with her in spite of HIM. I actually wish him luck in dealing with the financial end. I will not sign any more of her checks for her. He can take care of it. :)

5-18-11UPDATE He apologized to my husband, not to the one accused of being the thief. He has refused to handle the account, so I am stuck with it. Mom does not need any drama right now, I am keeping my peace. It is very tough and emotionally draining. I am trying to support my husband through this pain of loss, and trying to keep things in order. I feel that I have aged considerably in the last few weeks.

Safe driving?

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

I used to go onto the highway. Not very much anymore.

I have gotten tired of seeing those idiots who consider their phone conversation to be more important that anyone else’s life. If you are reporting an emergency, I can see it.

But holding onto your phone while driving and talking puts your head at a weird position, messes up your vision, and in general proves that you are not driving safely.

I have followed people who swerved all over the road while putting make-up, reading maps, talking on the phone, looking for something on the floor,……

I guess that you get the picture. I do not like them to be beside me because of the swerving. I do not like them behind me because they will not know when I have to stop.

At least if they are in front, I can swerve myself and avoid a wreck so I can be a witness for the other guy who was driving safely and just happened to get hit by an idiot.

I guess I can’t be any plainer that that.

Either…Or

I am complaining about commercials again. Fair warning

There are two main types of commercials on television these days. One gives warm feelings, annd the other leaves me with a chill inside that people actually think that it is okay to put such stuff on the air.

WARM The most recent warm one involved a man wanting to propose to his lady. he realizes that she loves cats, gets a kitten and puts a little tag on the kitten that asks her to marry ‘them’. Kudos for Fancy Feast, that commercial is cute, warm and caring.

CHILLED A woman is interviewing some sharks and asking them about the taste of people they have eaten. They like a certain one who tasted better. She lets another person into the room, the sharks tell him to go ahead and finish his candy bar…….WHAT are they doing? Are they condoning human sacrifice to advertise Snickers? Shame

You’re Fired

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

Donald Trump started that famous line. We need to stick onto our politicians.

They talk about budget cuts, but their salary never seems to quite get onto the list of things to be cut. They have failed to do their jobs - miserable failed. Why do they continue to accept pay when they cannot even do their jobs correctly? Here is a small sample of what has happened lately. When you look at the numbers, realize that they have ‘changed’ from what they were. Not to the good either.

I copied this from an e-mail that I received: read it carefully

Ouch!!!!

Two years ago, Barack Obama was inaugurated as president of the United States.

Are you better off today than you were two years ago ?

Just take this last item: In the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as

fast as during the rest of our entire nation’s history.

Over 27 times as fast!

Metaphorically, speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH and a car rockets past you in the left

lane 27 times faster . . . it would be doing 1,755 MPH!

THIS IS A DISASTER IN PROGRESS !

Careful study will show that we are not in good shape. Those who cannot afford to be hurt are getting hurt. The fat cats who have done the damage have refused to hurt themselves.

SPAM

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

I love the Spam that comes in a can.

I HATE the crap that shows up in my e-mail. All the time it shows up.

Why should I have to unsubscribe from something that I never wanted to begin with? I NEVER gave permission for my e-mail address to be abused and used by the trash senders of the universe.

I HATE this trash. I would dearly love to be able to mess with their computer the way that they have messed with mine.

Who gave them the privilege of messing up my computer?

NOT ME.
