Safe driving?

Wednesday, April 13th, 2011

I used to go onto the highway. Not very much anymore.

I have gotten tired of seeing those idiots who consider their phone conversation to be more important that anyone else’s life. If you are reporting an emergency, I can see it.

But holding onto your phone while driving and talking puts your head at a weird position, messes up your vision, and in general proves that you are not driving safely.

I have followed people who swerved all over the road while putting make-up, reading maps, talking on the phone, looking for something on the floor,……

I guess that you get the picture. I do not like them to be beside me because of the swerving. I do not like them behind me because they will not know when I have to stop.

At least if they are in front, I can swerve myself and avoid a wreck so I can be a witness for the other guy who was driving safely and just happened to get hit by an idiot.

I guess I can’t be any plainer that that.

I am complaining about commercials again. Fair warning

There are two main types of commercials on television these days. One gives warm feelings, annd the other leaves me with a chill inside that people actually think that it is okay to put such stuff on the air.

WARM The most recent warm one involved a man wanting to propose to his lady. he realizes that she loves cats, gets a kitten and puts a little tag on the kitten that asks her to marry ‘them’. Kudos for Fancy Feast, that commercial is cute, warm and caring.

CHILLED A woman is interviewing some sharks and asking them about the taste of people they have eaten. They like a certain one who tasted better. She lets another person into the room, the sharks tell him to go ahead and finish his candy bar…….WHAT are they doing? Are they condoning human sacrifice to advertise Snickers? Shame

You’re Fired

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

Donald Trump started that famous line. We need to stick onto our politicians.

They talk about budget cuts, but their salary never seems to quite get onto the list of things to be cut. They have failed to do their jobs – miserable failed. Why do they continue to accept pay when they cannot even do their jobs correctly? Here is a small sample of what has happened lately. When you look at the numbers, realize that they have ‘changed’ from what they were. Not to the good either.

I copied this from an e-mail that I received: read it carefully

Just take this last item: In the last two years we have accumulated national debt at a rate more than 27 times as

fast as during the rest of our entire nation’s history.

Over 27 times as fast!

Metaphorically, speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH and a car rockets past you in the left

lane 27 times faster . . . it would be doing 1,755 MPH!

THIS IS A DISASTER IN PROGRESS !

Careful study will show that we are not in good shape. Those who cannot afford to be hurt are getting hurt. The fat cats who have done the damage have refused to hurt themselves.

SPAM

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

I love the Spam that comes in a can.

I HATE the crap that shows up in my e-mail. All the time it shows up.

Why should I have to unsubscribe from something that I never wanted to begin with? I NEVER gave permission for my e-mail address to be abused and used by the trash senders of the universe.

I HATE this trash. I would dearly love to be able to mess with their computer the way that they have messed with mine.

Who gave them the privilege of messing up my computer?

NOT ME.

I need it !

Now, I am sounding like a junky.

I am a Diabetic. One of the pills that I take has not been available at the pharmacy. They have been having trouble with the supplier.

Without that medicine, my blood sugar has spent a lot of time over 300. That is very bad.

I have been having to multiply the does of insulin that I take. It is getting tiresome to have to keep sticking myself with needles, over and over again.

Needles to test my blood, needles to inject medicine…….ARG

Where’s the money?

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

We keep hearing about all of the debt that our country has.

Where is the money? I realize that the ordinary person does not have it.

Of course, the politicians have a lot. They act as if everyone on the planet has a lot of money and do not mind making us spend what little that we actually have. The cost of living has no effect on their budgets. You can tell by how they borrow on our dime and want to spend our dollars. All this without doing what they were elected to do.

Update on the renovation

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Right now I am so angry that I am having trouble thinking. I copied this from my other blog Born Clicker.

I am sooooo ticked off.

I was just notified that there will not be a renovation at our apartments. Many of the senior citizens and the handicapped here have given away some of their life long belongings because of the imminent renovation.

Now we hear that is will NOT happen. We have been living around boxes of our belongings, putting up with the hazard created by having those things stacked around.

THERE AINT GOING TO BE A RENOVATION?

What in the world is going on? Doesn’t the management even care what they have done to innocent people? What a bunch of

bullshit!

Hello!??

Sunday, January 16th, 2011

I hate it.

Strong words, but I hate it. What do I hate? What else but those answering machines that call you when you are in the middle of something. Even if it is not a sales promo, the idea that someone triggers a call for you and can’t be bothered to actually answer the phone in return, is just a slap in the face.

If, when I answer, I hear silence on the other end and no one answers within a couple of seconds, I HANG UP. Period.

Rant Time

Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

I feel like ranting again. Fair warning…

Obama has decided that for the second year in a row, anyone who is getting Social Security, in any form, will NOT get a cost of living increase – AGAIN.

I wonder how he expects people to pay their bills? IF things are more expensive, what money they have will not go as far as before. People, Social Security does not make someone rich. Far from it. It does not even make sure that someone survives.

Food costs have gone up. Anyone who drives KNOWS that gas has gone up. Utility bills have gone up. Medicine has gone up, Rent goes up each year.

Now seniors and disabled get to decide what they will do without since even more is being taken from them. Medicare, which is taken out of their checks before they even get any money, will not cover as much as it had covered before. Of course that might not matter if they can’t afford to get medicine or pay for food.

Think about it, if they die from lack of medicine, or lack of food, less money will go out of the Social Security funds.

I am being sarcastic here.

Frustration

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

My husband packs things.

When we need to do a clean up in our apartment, his idea of cleaning involves packing things into boxes, and then cramming them into the closet.

We now have little portable drawers on wheels with three drawers to put glues, paints, papers, pens, and pencils. What does he do? He crams things into boxes and I have to tell him that it is not the right thing to do when we have the drawer cabinet.

Frustration is getting him to put things into their proper location instead of cramming. OY VEY.
