Griping Again

Wednesday, July 13th, 2011

Welcome back!

I have seen another commercial again that disturbs me.

This one shows some kids playing and using a cell phone to film it. ‘Dad’ comes in and says it is not being used correctly. He then proceeds to try to knock off the head of his young daughter with the ping-pong ball. If it had hit, it would hurt, I know from personal experience.

He brags that, that is 3D, and tries to act as if he had done something great.

Talk about abuse. This ad abuses my sense of family, proper treatment, everything is wrong with it. Yes, I am griping. There is enough wrong with the world today without adding to it with abusive family acts being advertised.

Bikers Against Child Abuse

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

This organization is otherwise known as B.A.C.A.

This members try to help children, and make child abuse disappear.

It is a worthy group that does a sadly necessary job. Here is a link to a site that explains what the group does, and how it tries to help.

Bikers Against Child Abuse

If you know any one in need, do not be afraid to put them in contact with these people. Bikers do care about kids.

UPDATE

We were contacted by one of the officers of a local B.A.C.A. group. The vest has been turned over to them and they will track down the proper owner.

While I am talking about this group, our ministry came across a vest that belongs to one of those riders. The name on the Vest is ‘Catcher’. If you know this person, you can contact us through this blog and leave a comment.

Childhood Ends

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

This one is serious folks.

I grew up knowing child abuse, from the inside. My mom was divorced from her husband in 1954, when divorcees were assumed to be loose women. She faced a lot of pressure that became a heavy burden to her. She ,after a while, did not know how to handle it.

Abuse started. It started with the mental abuse. Once the person is under the thumb mentally, they do not know how to get free. My teachers at school saw the bruises, but no one said anything. Even all the way through high school, the bruises were there, but no one interfered. Even today, the idea of being beaten with a wooden coat hanger can bring back bad, angry memories.

I try to make them fade out, try to over come the anger. I realize now that mom had problems and did NOT know how to handle them. Today there are options available to every one in the USA that did not exist back in the fifties. Today, we have no excuse for looking away. CPS in many states make many mistakes. Sometimes they persecute the wrong people, sometimes, they ignore a serious problem until it’s too late. Help is available

There is no excuse for ignoring bruises, and cries, and screams.

STOP CHILD ABUSE NOW before it is too late. Please offer help, do not look the other way.
