Cleanup clothes

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Welcome back!

What type of clothes would you wear for cleaning up after a flood?

I don’t know about you, but something tells me that jeans, t-shirts, even if they are rocawear jeans, would be better than using tuxedos, evening gowns, and such like.

I have never heard of people using formal wear to clean except for when Paris Hilton and the other lady wore high-heel shoes to do grunt work. Still can’t figure it out.

After the flood

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

Well, I’ve been to downtown Belton, Texas, and had a chance to look at the aftermath of the recent flood that we’d had.

The government office for license plates is open. The hospice thrift store is asking for donations. The Bridal shop has wedding dresses in it again.

The locksmith shop is running and open for business. I am wondering about all of the people downstream. After all, that water had to go somewhere, didn’t it?

The truck is Gone

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Well, the truck that plowe3d into the hotel building is finally gone.

The crew having to do the work of the removal had to re-enforce the inside of the building and eventually cut the semi into pieces to remove it. I guess that is one truck that will not hit the highway anymore, at least until it is melted down and remade.

Still do not know the exact reason for the crash. The police have said that the driver either fell asleep, or was medically unconscious. How someone could be asleep and go through 2 ditches, a pond retaining wall and ramp, I do not know.

More later, if it is given to the public.
