I”ve got it

Welcome back!

He had “IT” and then gave “IT” to me.

I do not want “IT”. “IT” happens to be either a cold, or the flu. I could cheerfully give him a swift kick in the posterior. OF course it’s not his fault, sometimes things just happen. ;)

We know now

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

Well, got back from the doctor’s office. We know now what has been afflicting him. They call it diverticulitis. It is a pain in the intestines, and throwing up, and other stuff.

My husband is now on two types of antibiotics. We know that hormones and acne are not even in the running. He will possibly be on the meds for ten days, all the way up to 20 days. Cipro and the other stuff he has taken before without any trouble.

There is one thing that has worked out for the good, he has lost some more weight. Oh yeah, he does NOT have another hernia either. :)

Now we wait for him to get better.

Called Doctor

Sunday, October 17th, 2010

I called the doctor today.

He was not in the office but the secretary said that she would put eh information down as a priority. With heart trouble, diabetes, and other things going on in his body, my husband does not need the barfing all of the time.

I am concerned.

Well, he is finally better

Friday, October 15th, 2010

Yes, he is better now. He was able to eat several things and has not yet lost them. He did fight off a queasy feeling a couple of times, but now he is better.

I am glad that he was not also afflicted with acne at the same time. Having those things on you, and hurting while trying to find the best acne product would also make him more miserable.

Here is hoping and praying that he will continue to get better and better.

Barf - YUK

He has been sick.

That is, my husband has been sick. It is unbelievable just how much the human stomach can hold, even when it has already tried to empty itself.

If this does not stop, I will have to call 911 since we have no vehicle to use right now. I am tired of his hurting. I want him to feel better.

He’s better

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

My husband is better. He isn’t throwing up a lot right now.

I thought about all of the antibiotics that he’d been taking, and remembered that thay can mess up your digestion. At first, I was thinking that he was allergic to something new and I thought about getting some new air filters for the apartment.

Now that I remembered about how the stomach can be sensitive to too many medicines, I got him some yogurt to eat. So far, it seems to be working and he is definitely feeling better.

That is a relief. :)

Well, here we go again

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

My husband is sick again. He keeps throwing up and neither one of us knows why. He does not have a temperature, or a cough. We know it isn’t the flu. As for the H1N1, we both went through that nightmare earlier in the year.

He has been on a lot of antibiotics lately. I hope that this stuff goes away soon.

My Chest Hurts

Friday, February 20th, 2009

I know that it is not my heart. The coughing has not gone away, yet. I wish it would.

This cough is so pernicious that it is unbelievable. It started in November, went away, and a second bout started at the beginning of February. When I cough, I can feel a slight burn in my chest, and a little hurt. I am breathing better now than I was before, but it has not yet stopped!

I am frustrated. My husband is frustrated.

However, I am not giving up, because it is not as bad as before.

About Time

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Yes, it is about time. We can breathe again.

We have been in a battle for our health. Starting around November 6, 2008 my husband and I started to cough. This went on until our sides were sore, as if we had been kicked in the sides every time we coughed. Then the mess faded to just occasionally a tickle in the throat.

Bam it came back in all of its nasty UNglory. It started with the runs, then the sore throat, then the cough, then the head so full that we could not think. I lost my appetite for a while there and we only seemed to eat one meal each day to keep us going.

IN OTHER WORDS - TOTAL MISERY.

Now we are breathing again. Our sinuses are still having some trouble, but the rest is going- going- almost gone. Turns out there are a couple of viruses going around that are neasty and all you can do is treat the symptoms and hope to outlast the bug itself. We have succeeded. We ended up with going through 2 types of misery, but we have survived. :)
