Now what do I say?

Welcome back!

Yes, that is the title of this article. I have no idea what to say.

Our friend who had been riding his motorcycle until he was hit, has told us that he is needing to get his medical bills taken care of. He did after all go to the ER and get a lot of Xrays to make sure that nothing was broken.

I guess the person who hit him will need something like insurancespecialists.com. I do not know if our friend was bruised, but we do know that he is hurting. His wife is thankful that he is alive.

Usually when a bike goes up against a car, the bike rider loses and most of the time, dies. I am glad that he is not one of those. I am glad that he is alive.

Now what? I do not know.

Mom told us that she has paid for her funeral. She didn’t say anything about life insurance, and I don’t care about that. I just wish that she would not fall and get hurt.

Each time this happens, it scares the begeebers out of me and my husband. I do not think that she realizes just how concerned we are about this happening. She keeps trying to make light of it and sound like she is NOT concerned.

That does not ease our minds however. We care. Yes, she can be stubborn; yes there are times that she can make people mad; THOSE things are not as important as making sure that she is safe.

Spending Spree?

Thursday, April 8th, 2010

A spending spree? Yeah, right….I think not.

I just mentioned that we live on my husband’s SSDI. It isn’t much. We are at poverty level. He paid in the insurance, got disabled, and now he gets SSDI. If we had the money available, we would also get some insurance. I do not know what term life insurance rates are right now, I can only hope they are at a level that we can afford.

We manage to pay our rent, utilities, get food, and buy some gas for our vehicle, not much else. I am glad that I can blow steam and put my thoughts down, so that I do not implode with what is going on. Maybe the word that I am looking for is explode. Whatever, it would make a mess, so it is best that I do not do either.

I will continue to blow steam and survive. :)

Go ahead, make my day

I like that line from a movie. I imagine that a lot of people like it too, and know the movie that it came from.

It proves just how commercialized that we are right now. How about ‘where’s the beef’? Do any of you remember where that line comes from, and WHO said it?

I do remember. There are so many different commercials that are out there now. Some are memorable, others quickly forgotten. I know there was one that had a dot com in it. It wasn’t www.carinsurancelist.com, but if I think long enough on it I will remember which one it is. I do miss the Chihuahua commercial about food, though. That dog was cute. :)

Oh Brother…

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

Well, it seems that the politicians in Washington do not want to listen to the American people. They are wanting to push through the so-called health care bill.

I say so-called because it will adversly effect everyone around. We are a family that has very limited means. According to the bill, we will be forced to pay for health care insurance where or not we actually have $10 to spare. Someone will then determine if we can afford it or not. We already know that we cannot afford it. We count every penny that we have. Lincoln no longer has a beard.

So when my brother-in-law sent me the following e-mail, it really hit the spot.

Dear Employees:

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%. But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off sixty of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me since I believe we are family here and I didn’t know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots and found sixty ‘Obama’ bumper stickers on our employees’ cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go.. I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change…. I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

THE BOSS

It really fits.

Figured it out

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Yes, I figured it out.

What it is…I have no idea. *snicker…snort*

Never mind me today, I feel like being a wise guy…er, gal. :)
I realize that sometimes what I write does not make a whole lot of sense, but that’s life. Because I am the boss over this blog, I can write nonsense, wisdom (if I have any), poetry, practical jokes. Whatever ‘it’ is - auto insurance quotes, information, idiocy, opinions (of which I have a lot), or nothing at all, it is all mine.

OOPS, that means if it is bad I cannot blame anyone else but me. Hmmmmmm, oh well, that’s life. :)

What is that?

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

I look out my window, and what do I see?
White flakes of snow falling down on the city.
I think of snow plows, scrapers and more.
I think of insurance quotes, and opening the door.
I think of snow angels, snow balls, and slush.
The next thing I know, my husband says shush.
He doesn’t like snow, he just hates the cold.
He wants me to shut up and not open the door.
I want to go sledding, I want to play.
He says wait for tomorrow, don’t go today.
I wait for tomorrow, and open the door.

There ain’t no snow, it melted away. :(

Rock & Snore

Monday, January 11th, 2010

How’d you like that title? Well, that is what my husband was doing earlier to day. :)

He kept telling me that he was sleepy and tired and was going to go to bed. Okay, he is still recovering from the hospital stay. I kept waiting for him to get up and go, but…….when I looked over at him he was rocking from side to side and snoring as if his head was on the pillow.

Well, laughter did not wake him up and I figured that a quote from carinsurancelist.com wouldn’t wake him up either.

I finally got his attention, he said hunh and all that it did was to make me laugh harder. He finally bumped his way to bed and is now snoring gently and sleeping.

After the hospital

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

After his stay in the hospital, my husband is happy to be home. He has good insurance, otherwise we would be looking up some health insurance leads rather desperately.

As it is, he is spending a lot of time sleeping. Me too for that matter. Hospital stays are not my real cup of tea. The chairs that are available for the visitor to sit in are not designed for comfort. Even if some of them do tilt and lift up at the foot. My back=side will take a while to return to normal. My feet and ankles were rather swollen, my eyes looked rather bloodshop. As for the state of my mental health. I found myself repeating over and over again - coffee is my friend.

I just hope that I didn’t sound like a zombie. (Even if I felt like one.) :b

Would You Believe…

Friday, November 27th, 2009

There is another movie out. Another disaster, only this time supposedly the whole world will end.

Of course that means that life insurance would not necessarily be a bonus. However, who knows, if the world does not end and you do not survive, your family would benefit.

I often wonder where people get all of these idea about things ending. I sometimes think that they might be writing down their nightmares and then the nightmares become new movies. What do you think?
