Still pluggin’

Welcome back!

I am still pluggin’ on.

I still have the numbness in my face. CRAZY

I wish that it would all vanish as quickly as our money vanishes these days.

Spring, Summer, and Acne

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Spring is here, Summer is coming, and those with acne are getting the medicine that they want to get rid of that stuff.

I am overweight, the title of my blog tells it all. I have never had any trouble with acne however. I have had trouble with the blisters from shingles, but that is not the same thing.

I remember high school. I remember kids who had trouble with acne. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.

I had it

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Well, on the 17th, I was to have a colonoscopy.

I had it and the test results are good. That makes me happy. What I am not happy about is that they did not warm me I would be sore and lame after it all was over.

Then there is the farting……I am glad that my husband loves me.

I feel inside as if I had been the football after the Superbowl game.

Owww….ooops

Here I am again

Sunday, March 13th, 2011

I went to the doctor today.

I have shingles again. My face feels as if it was wiped with Orajel. Earlier, I had a headache in my face.

Since I didn’t get to the doctor within the first 48 hours, he can’t prescribe any meds to stop it. I just have to let it run its full course.

My previous run-in with shingles ended with me in the hospital.

I am NOT a happy camper. :(

Blackheads

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

There ar redheads, blond heads, brown heads, bald heads. I happen to love someone who has a bald head. I think that he is adorable.

Now back to what I started to talk about. Black heads, not the ones with black hair, but the ones with the troublesome task of blackhead removal.

When growing up, I used tweezers, fingernails, and other things. Some of those things did not smell so good. At least these days there are alternatives to what I used to do.

He did not run

Friday, February 18th, 2011

All through this mess we have been going through, my husband did not run.

I am surprised that he did not try to find out how to boost testosterone, in order to handle the mama grizzly that he found himself married to.

I did try to keep it down, but there were sometimes that I just wanted to growl, or howl. I was not really sure.

So, I kept checking my blood sugar levels, injecting insulin and calling the pharmacy checking if the pills had come in yet.

Well, it is finally over. The pills came in, I have taken my medicine, my temper has eased, the mama grizzly has gone back into hibernation.

After all this stuff

Friday, February 18th, 2011

We have been running around a lot lately. We have used over 80 dollars of gas. We have stayed in the same county, though.

That is a lot of running. On top of it all, my blood sugar has not been at its best since I had been having trouble getting a refill on one of my medicines. I finally got it today, but, after a look in the mirror….I neeed the best eye cream for dark circles.

I almost scared myself as I looked in the mirror this morning. My hair was on end, my eyes of course looked as if I had used them to imitate a raccoon. ( I am not trying to criticize raccoons here.)

High blood sugar can cause a lot of disturbances in your life. You might now even notice it at first, but it all adds up to lack of sleep, severe irraitability, people wanting to hide from you (me), frequent trips to the potty, itchiness all over. When you add all these things up, I was not a happy camper.

Guess what’s next…

Friday, February 18th, 2011

Next week, I get to enjoy the blessings of having a colonoscopy. I am being sarcastic here.

I am not looking forward to the test itself, or to the fact that I will be taking medicines that are supposed to be some of the best colon cleansers around.

I am NOT looking forward to having to use so much more toilet paper. The idea of having to spend so much time on the toilet is not one of joy for me. My legs go to sleep. (grump) :(

Got it today!

Yippee

I got the medicine that I needed today.

My husband is breathing a sigh of relief. When my blood sugar gets too high, I get very bitchy. I try not to, but it is very hard.

I can’t sleep, my skin itches, I have to pee A LOT, my eyes get blurry.

All in all, I turn into a very miserable person.

Hey, if you have a lot fo those same reactions, you might want to talk to your doctor and have him check your blood sugar, too.

OW-Pain

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

When I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, I never knew just what pain I would end up feeling.

There are days when even going to the bathroom is a major undertaking. I have, in the past, wanted to have a arthritis knee brace, but I don’t know if they come in MY size.

My blog is named TwoTonTilly for a reason. I am not as heavy as before, but those braces are not designed for fat legs. I have had osteoarthritis all of my life. I remember growing up and hearing adults talking about kids having growing pain. I used to think that was what they meant by the pain in my bones and my joints. Only when I became an adult myself did I realize that not everyone has such pain. I managed to walk normally most of my life and it is only in the past five years that I have started to use a cane.

I am not into pain.
