Got it today!

Welcome back!

Yippee

I got the medicine that I needed today.

My husband is breathing a sigh of relief. When my blood sugar gets too high, I get very bitchy. I try not to, but it is very hard.

I can’t sleep, my skin itches, I have to pee A LOT, my eyes get blurry.

All in all, I turn into a very miserable person.

Hey, if you have a lot fo those same reactions, you might want to talk to your doctor and have him check your blood sugar, too.

I need it !

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Now, I am sounding like a junky.

I am a Diabetic. One of the pills that I take has not been available at the pharmacy. They have been having trouble with the supplier.

Without that medicine, my blood sugar has spent a lot of time over 300. That is very bad.

I have been having to multiply the does of insulin that I take. It is getting tiresome to have to keep sticking myself with needles, over and over again.

Needles to test my blood, needles to inject medicine…….ARG

Well, I’ll be%$#@$

Remember the mention of an overdraft?

I DOOD IT. Did I mention that I have been taking a new medicine? Well, that will only go so far. It won’t bring back the money lost from an overdraft. That $35.00 might as well be locked in solid steel metal buildings with walls 3 feet thick. It ain’t coming back to me any time soon.

I do believe that I am getting more used to the new medicine, but not soon enough. Slurred speech, slow to awaken each morning, groggy thinking.

The only part that is not a drawback is the absence of pain. I do NOT want that back any time soon.

He’s lost weight

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

I have good news.

My husband has managed to lose weight. Since he does have some heart trouble, and Diabetes, this is great news. He had gotten as high as 340lbs which is very bad. He is now down less than 300.

I just wish that I could lose some weight like that. My bones could use the rest. He didn’t take any diet pills, nuphedragen, ephedrine, or any of the others. I don’t know if I will need to take something. I am not able to exercise. That however, is another story, and another article.

Diets, diets, diets

Friday, July 31st, 2009

Everywhere that you turn, you will find different sites that will advertise diet pills reviews. Some are rather obvious that they are nothing but ads, others actually give good advice and honest opinions about different types of pills.

What needs to be done is to weigh and balance each site. Examine what is said, the price and the actual efficiency of the pills talked about. If you are on medicine, the best bet is to talk to your local pharmacist and get their educated information on whether the pills will work with your medicine, or against them. Mean while, get slimming.

Cold Still Here

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Yup, I still have a cold. My nose is in over drive in what it is continuing to fabricate. I guess that is better than saying it continues to run, does it not?

Where we live, the weather is going back and forth from cold to hot, to cold, to hot. I wish it would make up its mind. I know, I know, it does not have a mind. Having allergies, and sinus problems makes the cold even more unpleasant. I have gone to extremes to make sure that I can breath. I am tired of making disgusting noises, and feeling no good. Sorry, I let a little whine out.

I have not yet lasted the requisite 7 days that the normal cold will run. How about I say that I - duwanna ! Don’t know if that is a word, but it says it all. Meanwhile, I pack in the vitamin C, take the cough medicine, use the paper until my nose wants to escape, and I get a lot of sleep. I WILL SURVIVE. Just hope that my husband’s sense of humor will survive also. I has been wonderful in helping me; hugs, cuddles, sympathy, and fetching more paper when I am desperate. He is a treasure.

Feeling Better

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Yea ! I’m feeling better. My head isn’t as clogged down, my coughing has basically stopped, my nose is no longer trying to run away from me (and succeeding, too), I no longer ache and feel chilled.

In other words, the cold has basically run its course. When it is finally gone, I will be very happy. Right now my husband is right in the middle of his suffering with his cold. At least I have the stuff to help comfort him since I had already gotten the cough medicine and other things needed.

Things could be much worse. It isn’t the flu, it isn’t anything else either. Yes, colds can and do make you feel miserable, but they do end )even though at the time they feel like they last forever). Here’s hoping that you do not get caught with the sniffles yourself. :)
