Wall Street or Congress?

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011

Welcome back!

On the news I hear about those who are protesting the economy.

Why are they blaming Wall Street? Wall Street are not the ones that make the laws that govern the country.

If they truly want the economy to improve, protest at Congress. If Congress really wanted to make things better…..

THEY COULD CUT THEIR OWN PAY TO SAVE US MONEY.

They have a special fund for their medical costs, they have special money even when they are no longer in office. We do not have such things. We are stuck with Medicare and Social Security. Why should Congress get special money and privileges for messing up the country?

Yet, the one thing that Congress NEVER does is take a pay cut.

Gonna Need

Friday, May 13th, 2011

I have a feeling that I am gonna need someone like a Brooklyn Accident Attorney, or even a good defense attorney.

My brother-in-law, who shall remain outside of my home and other places has decided that he is going to be a pain in the assets. Just for my thought alone, I might need that attorney. Let me just say that they are not to be made out loud.

Mom’s bills have been something that I have had to take care or for a while now (make that months), since she kept forgetting them. I would come over to her apartment, make out the checks, sign, and then mail them to make sure the bills were paid.

Because of her going into the hospice, the thought that her account might get frozen at the time of her death, I got out a big portion of what she had in there. I left enough to take care of the bills that would come out by automatic draft. I have paid out quite a lot of that money for her bills and I thank God that I have receipts for them. Dearest brother-in-law all of a sudden decided that he wants to keep track of her money and did not even ask why this was done and jumped to bad ideas. The money that has not been spent on her needs, bills, and expenses will be put back in tomorrow. Let him take care of her checking account and her bills, NOW.

I am very glad to let him have the hassle, and to wash my hands of him and other things. We will still try to keep contact with her in spite of HIM. I actually wish him luck in dealing with the financial end. I will not sign any more of her checks for her. He can take care of it. :)

5-18-11UPDATE He apologized to my husband, not to the one accused of being the thief. He has refused to handle the account, so I am stuck with it. Mom does not need any drama right now, I am keeping my peace. It is very tough and emotionally draining. I am trying to support my husband through this pain of loss, and trying to keep things in order. I feel that I have aged considerably in the last few weeks.

You’re Fired

Thursday, February 24th, 2011

Donald Trump started that famous line. We need to stick onto our politicians.

They talk about budget cuts, but their salary never seems to quite get onto the list of things to be cut. They have failed to do their jobs - miserable failed. Why do they continue to accept pay when they cannot even do their jobs correctly? Here is a small sample of what has happened lately. When you look at the numbers, realize that they have ‘changed’ from what they were. Not to the good either.

I copied this from an e-mail that I received: read it carefully

fast as during the rest of our entire nation’s history.

Over 27 times as fast!

Metaphorically, speaking, if you are driving in the right lane doing 65 MPH and a car rockets past you in the left

lane 27 times faster . . . it would be doing 1,755 MPH!

THIS IS A DISASTER IN PROGRESS !

Careful study will show that we are not in good shape. Those who cannot afford to be hurt are getting hurt. The fat cats who have done the damage have refused to hurt themselves.

SPAM

Saturday, February 19th, 2011

I love the Spam that comes in a can.

I HATE the crap that shows up in my e-mail. All the time it shows up.

Why should I have to unsubscribe from something that I never wanted to begin with? I NEVER gave permission for my e-mail address to be abused and used by the trash senders of the universe.

I HATE this trash. I would dearly love to be able to mess with their computer the way that they have messed with mine.

Who gave them the privilege of messing up my computer?

NOT ME.

Update on the renovation

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

Right now I am so angry that I am having trouble thinking. I copied this from my other blog Born Clicker.

I am sooooo ticked off.

I was just notified that there will not be a renovation at our apartments. Many of the senior citizens and the handicapped here have given away some of their life long belongings because of the imminent renovation.

Now we hear that is will NOT happen. We have been living around boxes of our belongings, putting up with the hazard created by having those things stacked around.

THERE AINT GOING TO BE A RENOVATION?

What in the world is going on? Doesn’t the management even care what they have done to innocent people? What a bunch of

bullshit!

Driving me daisy….crazy

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

My computer is driving me CRAZY. *^%$^%$#()(_&%$#

If IT thinks a link is taking too long, it puts up a message that it timed out. Yeah, RIGHT…I don’t think so. IF I am working on something and it hasn’t had computer messages going back and forth, say I am typing something…it disconnects me from the internet.

Who designed this crazy stupid junk? I would dearly like to give that person some of my point of view when I get disconnected, interrupted, and in general driven crazy. I was e (*&%$) it did it again! I am beginning to HATE computer and their supposed logic boards. There is no logic to something deciding - 0n its own - to disconnect when it hasn’t been asked to.

I have some left

Monday, May 3rd, 2010

Surprise, surprise, and of course, surprise.

We actually have a little amount of money left. This is the end of the third day. With the costs of things today, having money left after the third day is very rare.

Uncle Sam said that the cost of things hasn’t gone up and did not give any one getting Social Security a cost of living increase. I bet that the congressmen and senators got their cost of living increase. As if they actually need it.

It is pitiful that anyone who gets Social Security is below poverty level. Even after paying in for so many years. The government has played footloose with the funds that are supposed to be in savings for those who collect Social Security. It charges more each year for the Medicare fee, yet Medicare covers less and less.

I am griping. I know that our government does not listen. Too bad THEY aren’t made to live on the same funds as all seniors and disabled.

Politics, politics, YUK

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Everywhere that I look on the TV right now, there are political ads everywhere, everywhere….did I say EVERYWHERE?

This man says this, that man says that……noise, noise, NOISE!

I am an opinionated fat broad and even I don’t have as many opinions as the politicians do in all of their ads.

I know that they are trying to get elected, I just wish that they would tell the truth.

OOPS, if they did that they would not get elected….would they?

Am I the only one who feels that the political course of our country has been side tracked by the media frenzy that goes with elections?

Food Rationing

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Watched the Tonight show with Jay Leno. I understand what he means about the ‘food’ that most Americans carry with them. I am one of them.

Lack of exercise, age , and eating habits do make a difference. Of course it is hard to exercise when things limit your activities. Pain does that. I wish that I had exercised more when I was able. Enough about that. Been looking up the ‘food shortage’ that people have been talking about. It isn’t about a lack of food so much as a lack of being able to BUY food for many people. What I don’t understand is the rationing that is being done. Doesn’t supply and demand usually also have something to do to effect the prices of things?

When things are hard to find, prices go up. The food is there; but, limiting how much that we can buy will make the price go up. That doesn’t seem “rational” with folks crying out “shortage”. The suppliers will like to get more money for their products, but creating an artificial shortage just ain’t right! Yes, many in the USA can afford to purchase food, no luxury items, just ordinary food. Why make things worse? Artificial inflation created for more profits is like cutting someones wrists so they need to get transfusions. The media doesn’t bring up that part of what is going on, just “shortage & rationing”. The extra money being made isn’t going into the pockets of the farmer who raised the food, after all many farmers are going broke. Where is the money going? Where oh where is the conscience of the business world? In their respective wallets?
