What’s Up?

Welcome back!

What’s up?

The price of gas, the price of prunes, the price of food, the price of almost anything. That’s what’s up.

Heard that before? If you have to commute to do anything, you know all of this. Online Schools, are their prices up? I don’t know. How some people are surviving is amazing to me.

There are so many other countries that are in worse shape than ours is, yet I know that things are happening. I truly do not want things to get worse. Families with children are in fragile shape. I wish there was some way to put protection around them so the economy would not destroy them. The lists of things that families need to purchase for the kids to go back to school are amazing.

I am so fuzzy headed right now thinking about these things. How do they do it?

I’ve been playing

I have been playing around with my computer. When it was given to me, I started to learn how to use it. Never had a handbook to know what to do.

Just learned about defragging the computer to help with removal of unnecessary stuff. I’ve been doing the disc cleanup and have C Cleaner. It makes me think that maybe some industrial supplies might come in handy to get done what I need done.

The only trouble is that I do not know which files and programs are not needed and which ones are. ??? How do I find that out? Oh yeah, also found out about using the refresh in the system tools. Very handy since I accidentally wiped out the games that came with the computer. :)

Hobbies & Crafts

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

I know that I mentioned before that I like to do crafty types of things. What I did not mention is that my husband does also.

He likes to tinker with small stereos, tape players, and headphones. He also likes to make pins, bracelets, and necklaces. He has shown a remarkable skill in drawing out designs with gel pens that have wings and shields that are patriotic in nature. He loves the USA and isn’t ashamed to let others know. He uses gel pens of many different colors: silver, bronze, gold, red, white, and blue.

He would draw out the design, then color it in with the pens. There is one thing that has caused a small problem though. It is hard to find white gel pens. He uses gel pens so that when he coats the items he has made ( he uses clear fingernail polish which dries to plastic afterward) the ink does NOT run. Not being able to find the white gel has made it difficult to continue a favorite hobby. He has found one or two things that he can use as a substitute, but it’s not as easy as with a pen. At least he isn’t giving up on his hobby. I think that his continuing effort is something to be happy about.
