Heard About

Heard about a happening on TV today, actually yesterday, too.

A couple of girls in a small car were driving home from a place that they had visited. They got lost and without meaning to, drove off a boat dock into the water. A police officer was there and rescued them, so they did not drown. If the place used dock ramps, instead of just a slowly lowering concrete ramp, maybe that would not have happened.

As if is, the place now has some warning signs in place and they are thinking of putting in some chains that would have to be removed to stop this from happening anymore. Thank God those girls did not drown.

Found out something

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012

Recently our church had some question over a water pipe.

I found out that the pipe that was in the ground was not the correct type. It was a flex pipe, not metal hose, not PVC, not any type of approved pipe that can be used for water.

I realize that for things like gas, and oil, you have to use a special type of pipe for safety’s sake. Little did I know that even for a pipe in the ground for watering your yard, or your livestock, it also has to be a certain type that is approved by the local building inspector.

Live another day and learn something new. That’s life.

Stinky Water

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010

Right now our tap water STINKS !

It makes me want to use a garden pond filter, or something stronger to get the water tasting better. My husband needs to use bottled, or filtered water in order to drink plain water.

I tested our tap water one day and found that it is VERY hard water with a lot of minerals in it. Now, add the stink, and people can tell why I like to drink a lot of bottled diet sodas instead of water.

If you go to Belton, Texas, bring your own water right now. Usually it does not have an odor, but oh my aching nose. I can understand why our cats do not want to drink water at this time.
